Server-side storage of accesses/log files

The provider, in our case Hostpoint AG in Switzerland, collects data about access to our website and stores it as “DOM and error log files” as part of security checks. The following data is logged:

  • Date and time of access
  • Log information such as log type, log version, the desired action, status codes, or information about the transferred data (e.g., the size of a request or response).
  • Depending on application-specific information, such as message IDs for emails or, in the case of web access, information about the browser used (user agent string) or, if applicable, the page from which the visitor accessed the website.
  • Error messages
  • Full IP address

The data collected is used exclusively to check the security of the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use. The server log files are automatically deleted by the provider after 30 days. This measure is justified by the increasing number of hacking attempts by humans or AI. The provider does not offer the website operator the option of anonymizing IP addresses and refers to the Terms and Conditions, which contain the ADV. Further information on the processing of personal data at Hostpoint can be found here. We hereby distance ourselves from any liability claims.

Complianz

This website uses Complianz’s Privacy Suite for WordPress to collect declarations of consent. For this functionality, your IP address is anonymized and stored in our database. For more information, please refer to Complianz’s privacy policy.

Font Awesome

This website uses Font Awesome for the uniform display of fonts and symbols. The provider is Fonticons, Inc., 6 Porter Road Apartment 3R, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. When you visit a page, your browser loads the necessary fonts into your browser cache to display text, fonts, and symbols correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the Font Awesome servers. This allows Font Awesome to recognize that your IP address has been used to access this website. Font Awesome is used on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the uniform display of fonts on our website. If consent has been obtained, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, provided that the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s terminal device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your browser does not support Font Awesome, a standard font from your computer will be used.
